Barça B took a point from the Iberostar Estadi with a 3-3 draw against Mallorca on a wet and muddy pitch that hardly encouraged the team’s passing game. After going behind to an early Mallorca goal from youngster Kasim, Dongou and Cámara – with his debut goal for the side- turned the result round before the hosts pulled back to 2-2 with a goal from Joao Victor from a corner just before the break.
Just as he had done against Alaves, Grimaldo then scored with a beautifully struck free kick to put Barça in front again. The youngsters were on top now and Gumbau nearly added a fourth after good work from Halilovic, before Truyols hit the woodwork for Mallorca and then Kasim scored his second to ensure the draw. Eusebio’s side’s next game is at home to Lugo next weekend.
