Top five academy goals of the week

Some of the youth teams were playing official matches this weekend, while others are still completing the preseason. But in either case, there was no shortage of top quality goals – with three of our five choices this week coming from the youngest age group.

We start with U10 player Dereck López, with a great solo effort against Sant Gabriel. Fourth place goes to another U10 player, Elliot Cervellera of the A team, who scored against Sitges in the league. Alejandro Grimaldo of Barça B equalised against Mallorca with this splendid free kick and second place goes to another U10 A player, this time Pau Ortega, for a brilliantly placed shot. But our pick of the bunch is Abel Ruiz’s tremendous goal against Girona.
