Barça are not only in China to play basketball games. Their social activities have included their involvement in the Euroleague’s ‘One Team’ project that uses the game to integrate underprivileged children in society. Nachbar, Abrines, Hezonja and Pascual are Barça’s ambassadors for the scheme.

On Wednesday the players were at the University of Zhejiang, Hangzhou, for an activity involving 40 local boys and girls, with each of them taking charge of one group of ten kids.

Fun and games

Winning was what mattered least in these activities, but coach Xavi Pascual’s side was clearly the best at an exercise involving non-verbal communication, while Abrines’ team won the skills clinic.

Much to the delight of everyone in the pavilion, the session ended with a 3x3 match involving the players and the children.
