PSG win away to Lens (1-3)

Cabaye, ex FC Barcelona man Maxwell and Cavani (pen) on target for the Parisians

Paris Saint-Germain were away to Lens in Ligue 1 action on Friday night and came from behind to take the three points. The current leader of Barça’s Champions League group, who travel to APOEL this week, are provisionally second in the table on 18 points, four behind leader Olympique Marseille, who have a game in hand.

Laurent Blanc’s side were caught napping early on when Coulibaly put Lens a goal up on ten minutes, but Cabaye only took six minutes to get PSG back on level terms. And in the 34th minute, former FCB man Maxwell put his side in the driving seat.

A penalty and red card against Gbamin was the cause of PSG’s third goal, converted by Cavani, who also ended up leaving the pitch for a second bookable offence. And there was more to come, for Lens ended the game with just nine men as it all concluded 3-1 to the defending champions.
