FC Barcelona's opening week of 2015

Team set to return from Christmas vacation and get right back onto the practice pitch

Christmas vacation is almost over, and FC Barcelona will get back to the business of playing football with a training session on Tuesday, December 30th at 6.00 PM CET.

They'll immediately begin preparations for their first match of 2015, a La Liga fixture, at Real Sociedad on January 4th. It will be the first time the team have trained since December 19th, a day before they beat Córdoba 5-0 in their last match of 2014.

In getting ready for Real Sociedad, Barça will train four times, with a day off in the middle on January 1st.

On the first day back, training will be held only for the team's European players.  Then, on the 31st of December, Luis Enrique will get back his South American players that have not played for their respective national sides this season for an 11.00 AM CET session.

The team's South American players who have been a regular part of their respective national teams have off until January 2nd, when the whole team will be back together for a 6.00 PM CET training session. They'll train at 11.00 AM CET on January 3rd.

Barça will head to San Sebastián in the morning of January 4th and will kick off the match at 9.00 PM CET.

The day after the match, on January 5th, Barça's training session at the Miniestadi will be open to the public, after which the players will make their traditional holiday visits to area hospitals.
