Barça will face Villarreal in the Spanish Cup semi-final after Marcelino García Toral’s team beat Getafe 0-1 on Wednesday to win the tie 2-0 on aggregate. Villarreal beat Real Sociedad (1-0 and 2-2) and Cádiz (1-2 and 3-0) in the previous rounds.
The first leg of the semi-final will be played at the Camp Nou on February 11 (8.00pm CET), with the return leg at El Madrigal in the first week of March. The tie will be Barça’s eighth semi-final in the last nine years, whilst Villarreal will be making their debut at this stage of the competition.
Barça and Villarreal will also play this coming Sunday at the Camp Nou in the 21st week of the La Liga season.
