3 February 1974: 16 games unbeaten

In the 24th game of the Liga season, Barça visited their city rivals RCD Español, with their Sarrià ground packed to the rafters as the blue-and-whites sought to put an end to Barça’s 15-match unbeaten run.

The game was as intense as they come, but Barça kept their record intact (they’d go on to complete 26 games unbeaten in the league). It all ended as it had started, 0-0, with the visitors fielding a team packed with names that have gone down in the annals of club history: Sadurní, Rifé, Gallego, De la Cruz, Torres, Juan Carlos, Rexach, Asensi, Cruyff, Sotil and Marcial.
