FC Barcelona have made it to fifty consecutive wins in the Liga Asobal with a 43-22 win on Saturday evening over Frigoríficos Morrazo Cangas. The win leaves them six points clear of Naturhouse La Rioja at the top of the league table.

Barça stormed into a 5-2 lead, but the visitors then responded with some sound defending to get back to 6-5 on ten minutes before a 7-0 streak powered Barça into a commanding lead and there was no looking back from then on against the side currently fourth in the league standings. By half-time, Barça were more than comfortably poised at 24-11 and Xavi Pascual could already afford to start rotating his bench.

Barça didn’t ease off after the break and Cangas went for shockingly long periods without scoring at all as the score rose from 29-15 to 37-16. Simply staggering. The Catalans eventually won by a 21 point difference, 43-22, to make it 19 wins out of 19 in what is proving to be another extraordinary league season.
