Manchester City beat Leicester 2-0

City beat bottom club Leicester 2-0 to stay five points behind Chelsea in second spot in the Premier

Two goals late in each half from David Silva and James Milner gave Manchester City the points at the Etihad against bottom club Leicester City on Wednesday night. Manuel Pellegrini took the decision to rest captain Vincent Kompany , Pablo Zabaleta, Fernandinho, Samir Nasri and Edin Dzeko for the game, which the Sky Blues desperately needed to win after defeats to Barça and Liverpool last week explaining “we had to freshen up the team mentally and physically after two difficult games”.

The win keeps City five points adrift of Chelsea – who have a game in hand – and four ahead of Arsenal after both London teams also won on Wednesday night.
