The FC Barcelona youth football teams and the Women’s teams celebrated this Thursday the end of the 2014/15 season. As is usual at this time of the year, the event took place at the La Masia Oriol Tort training centre gardens with more than 400 young sportsmen and women present, from the youngsters of the U8 teams to the U19s, not forgetting the women’s teams at Barça. The Club organised an end of season meal which was attended by the president, Josep Maria Bartomeu; the social vice president Jordi Cardoner; the sporting vice president Jordi Mestre; the director responsible for youth football Silvio Elías; the director responsible for Supporters’ Clubs, Pau Vilanova; the director of professional sport Albert Soler and the youth football heads, Jordi Roura and Aureli Altimira.
Together with coaches, delegates, the players from the various teams were able to enjoy time together to round off a season replete with success. President Bartomeu, Mestre and Roura all congratulated the players for their successful campaigns and wished them a happy summer and happy holidays.
During the event, the sportsmen and women received a copy of the book ‘Relats Solidaris de l’Esport’ whose profits go to the Catalan Rett Syndrome Association thanks to the efforts of Javier Mascherano and the journalists who took part in the publication.
