Claudio Bravo the leader of finalists Chile

The goalkeeper is the captain of his national side and the player who has made most appearances in 'la Roja' history

Claudio Bravo’s Chile team are having an excellent Copa América 2015 as hosts of the tournament. ‘La Roja’ have reached the final for the fourth time and it will be their first since 1987. Excitement is at fever pitch in the country as they seek to win the trophy for the first time in their history.

Blaugrana Bravo is the captain and leader of the Chilean national side. The goalkeeper has played every minute of the Copa América so far, conceding just four goals. The semi-final victory over Peru was his 94th for the team, more than anyone else in the history of Chilean Football. He is ahead of Alexis Sánchez and Leonel Sánchez who have 85 appearances, Gonzalo Jara with 80 and Gary Medel who has 79.

The best keeper in Chilean football history

Claudio Bravo is an undoubted legend of Chilean football. Just a few months ago he was chosen by fans to be part of an all time XI for his country alongside Figueroa, Medel, Quintano, Cruz, Arturo Vidal, Toro, Valdés, Alexis Sánchez, Zamorano and Marcelo Salas.

On Saturday Bravo and Chile have the chance in the final to continue to make history with the Barça keeper looking for his fourth trophy of the season. Standing in their way are either Messi and Mascherano’s Argentina side or Paraguay.
