Twelve first team players will have medicals in the morning and will train at 7.00pm CET. Eight internationals to return on Wednesday
Barça 2015/16 gets going on Monday morning with the routine medical checks to start the preseason. Luis Enrique will have twelve players under his command from the very first day: Luis Suárez, Rafinha, Douglas, Sergi Roberto, Adriano, Vermaelen, Mathieu, Masip, Arda Turan, Sandro, Munir and Halilovic. This will be the first time Arda Turan has been with his new colleagues since he was officially presented as the club’s latest signing on Thursday morning.
It will be an early 8.00am CET start at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper with cardio and effort tests for the players in different shifts. The medical and physical examinations over, at 7.00pm CET, the squad will have their first workout on the field after the summer holiday.
On Wednesday 15, the players will be joined by those that had international matches at the end of last season, namely Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio, Pedro, Iniesta, Bartra, Jordi Alba and Aleix Vidal, so this will be the day that the latter also gets his first chance to work with his new team-mates.
The remaining players, Ter Stegen, who played at the European U21 Championship and the South Americans that participated in the Copa America in Chile, will be retuning at different times depending on how long their respective teams were involved in those two competitions.
