The Barça first team has continued its preparations for the second league game of the season and the first at the Camp Nou, when they take on Málaga on Saturday at 8.30pm CET. Luis Enrique took Thursday’s session on pitch number two at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, and once again included Barça B’s Gumbau, Samper and Cámara in the workout.
Today’s session started an hour earlier than usual because several members of the squad and staff will be flying to Monaco to attend the UEFA Gala and Champions League draw this evening. Andrés Iniesta, Leo Messi and Luis Suárez will all be in the Grimaldi Forum, with the Argentinian and Uruguayan are among the candidates for the UEFA Best Player in Europe award.
The team will have another training session on Friday at 11.00am CET, the last one before the game with Málaga.
