Santa Coloma – FC Barcelona Lassa : Copa Catalunya champions with an inspried Lozano (2-4)

Marc Carmona's side claim their first title of the season with a win in Santa Coloma de Gramanet Sergio Lozano key with two goals in the second half to turn things around with the blaugranes 2-1 down

The first trophy of the season is here. FC Barcelona Lassa turned things around in the second half to overcome Catgas Energia Santa Coloma by a scoreline of 4-2. The inspiration behind the win was Sergio Lozano who scored twice to put the blaugranes after they trailed 2-1 with the minutes ticking away in the second half. Marc Carmona’s side claim their third consecutive Copa Catalunya, taking their run of wins over in the Santa Coloma side in finals to six out of the seven they have contested.

Barça opened the scoring with Brazilian Saad picking up a pass from Wilde early on to make it 1-0. That goal came after 14 minutes and that’s how the sides went in at half time. Lozano made his first big contribution before the break, clearing Dani Salgado’s effort off the line to prevent Santa Coloma from equalising.

The second half was where the story of the game was played out. First, Santa Coloma levelled things up thanks to a goal from captain Rubén from an assist by Salgado. Corvo then put them ahead with a volley at the far post. Keeper Didac kept Barça at bay with Batería and Ferrao both coming close to giving Barça an equaliser. It finally came from the feet of Sergio Lozano, the man from Madrid finishing excellently with his left foot.

Lozano put Barça back in front with a third, Batería the provider with a cross. The home side risked it all, sacrificing their keeper and were caught out with Wilde making the final score 4-2 to Barça with a long range effort.
