FC Barcelona B fall to leaders Reus, but only just barely

The Catalans looked very much the better side but a tough luck own-goal condemned them to a loss by the minimum

FC Barcelona B saw their six game unbeaten streak halted on Sunday at Deportiu Reus, which were able to take over the top spot in Group III of the Second Division B. The Catalans won the battle for possession and took care of the ball for the most part, but an unlucky own-goal by Rodrigo Tarín was the only score of the game. Barça B had several chances to tie but could not avoid defeat, keeping them on thirteen points in the standings.

Barça B were solid on defence throughout, but so were Reus, who, despite ceding a large share of possession, managed to hinder Barça B whenever they looked to engage their offensive game.

It was an unfortunate play that changed the course of the game when, on 71 minutes, Reus' Moyano, from inside the area, was able to hook the ball towards the penalty spot. But Tarín, in an attempt to clear the ball, was only able to find his own net.
