FC Barcelona U19 A v Damm: Fair result (0-0)

Gabri's side played out a goalless draw in a game with plenty of chances for either side

FC Barcelona U19s played out a goalless draw with Damm on Saturday, in what was a complicated match against the third-placed side in the league. Gabri’s team had some good opportunities to score but were unable to make them count against a very well organised opponent.

Barça dominated possession early on and came closest to opening the score on 17 minutes as Aleñá’s free-kick sailed just wide of the post. The same player again came close moments later with a shot from the edge area while Damm were causing problems on the counter attack.

The second half saw far fewer chances for either side. Barça almost snatched all three points late on but Blanco’s header, with just nine minutes remaining, whistled past the woodwork.

With this draw, the U19s remain fourth in the table, three points behind Damm in the Division of Honour. The team will now prepare for the Tuesday’s UEFA Youth League match against AS Roma.
