FC Barcelona Lassa are through to the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey after beating Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto 43-25 away from home. Xavi Pascual’s side burst out of the traps early on and never let their opponents in with a chance at any stage of the match.
Within the first 16 minutes, Barça took a 16-5 advantage, with the team demonstrating ruthless finishing in front of goal. Barça continued to dominate for the rest of the first half with a 25-12 lead, and the margin would have been wider had it not been for the heroics of Fertiberia keeper Moral.
Although the intensity shown by the visitors in the first half had slightly waned, Barça continued to dominate on the scoreboard in the second. Barça added gloss to their victory in the closing stages, extending the margin to 18-points over the Valencian side to seal their place in the last eight of the cup.
