FC Barcelona Lassa closer to quarter-finals with 31–24 win over IFK Kristianstad

The Catalans won clearly in Sweden and are one step from direct classification for the quarter-finals of the VELUX EHF Champions League

FC Barcelona Lassa handball is well on its way to the quarter-finals of the VELUX EHF Champions League after beating Kristianstad Arena in Sweden by a score of 31–24 in the penultimate game of the group stage.

Kiril Lazarov led the attack with 9 goals and a splendid Danijel Šarić was outstanding between the pipes, as Barça had the game well in control by halftime despite Wael Jallouz's sprained ankle.

If Kielce win or draw in Montpellier on Saturday, Barca Lassa will have to win or draw against Rhein-Neckar Löwen in their final game — set for Saturday, 5 March at the Palau Blaugrana — to clinch first place in Group B and direct access to the quarter-finals.
