Messi always sharp at Riazor

Messi always sharp at Riazor

The Argentinian has scored 15 goals against Deportivo La Coruña, nine on the road, in the last four encounters

With FC Barcelona visiting Riazor on Wednesday to face Deportivo, and with a chance to maintain their hold on first place in La Liga, there's no better person to have on their side than Leo Messi, who scored his 450th career blaugrana goal on Sunday against Valencia at the Camp Nou.

A look at Messi's numbers shows he loves playing at Riazor — in the last two visits there he has two hat-tricks: the first in a 5–4 victory in the 2012/13 season, and the second, last season, in a 4-0 victory.

The Riazor talisman

Another significant stat is that Leo Messi has never lost against Deportivo. In his 12 career games played against them, Barça has won nine and drawn three with 15 goals — nine at Riazor, where Messi has scored more goals than at any other stadium in La Liga. Incredibly, the nine goals he has scored there have all come in the last four clashes.
