Matías Pascual to stay with Barça Lassa until 2020

The 26-year-old Argentinian will be donning the Blaugrana shirt for another four years

The FC Barcelona Lassa roller hockey team and Matías Pascual have reached an agreement that will keep the Argentine player at the Club until 30 June 2020. His current contract was set to expire on 30 June. The new agreement is for four seasons.

The 26-year-old Pascual first signed with FC Barcelona in the summer of 2013. Since then, he has won a total of 11 titles. He scored 28 goals this season all competitions.

Three years of success

Pascual left Liceo de La Coruña to join Barça three summers ago. In his first season with the Club, the team won the Super Cup, the OK League, and the European League. Gradually, his influence in the team began to grow.

In the 2014/15 season, the team won four titles, including another OK League and European League crown. This past season, Pascual was a key piece in the team's run to yet another four titles: the Continental Cup, the Spanish Super Cup, the OK League, and the Copa del Rey.

Highly versatile

Pascual doesn't have one set position. He excels at defensive positions as well as on the attack. Proof of his versatility lies in the 28 goals he scored this season, 20 of which came in the OK League. Both were career highs since joining Barça.
