Leo Messi to join the group to travel to St. George’s Park training camp

The Argentine and Arda will join Masip, Suárez, Munir, Sergi Roberto, Adriano, Aleix Vidal, Mathieu, Denis Suárez and Samper to travel to England, as well as Montoya, Tello and 12 players from the reserves

FC Barcelona concluded their first week of training of the new season on Saturday, with Luis Enrique giving the squad Sunday off to recharge ahead of Monday’s trip to England for the St. George’s Park training camp.

The stage will go on until Saturday 30 July at the state of the art UK-based training facilities. The manager announced the squad, with a very prominent addition, that of Leo Messi.

The Argentine star brings his vacations to an end and, along with Arda Turan, will join the group for a week of training.

The aforementioned duo will join Masip, Suárez, Munir, Sergi Roberto, Adriano, Aleix Vidal, Mathieu, Denis Suárez and Samper to travel to England, as well as Montoya, Tello and 12 players from the reserves.

The rest of the players of the first team will join the squad once their vacations have ended and when their international team commitments come to a close.

Therefore, Luis Enrique has added faces from Barça B to the expedition for the UK and one from the U19s to complete the list: José Suárez, Josep Martínez, Marlon, Martínez, Borja López, Carbonell, Gumbau, Aleñá, Nili, Alfaro, Cámara and Mujica. Cameroonian Wilfrid Kaptoum misses out due to a delay in the arrival of his visa.
