FC Barcelona's technical secretary, Robert Fernández, acknowledged on Friday the Club's interest in Valencia striker Paco Alcácer.
"He is a player who interests us a lot and we're working on it," Fernández said during Friday's press conference welcoming new goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen. "It will be Alcácer or nobody else."
There have been talks between Barça and Valencia regarding the 22-year-old forward.
"We have spoken, but we have to wait," Fernández told the media. "We have until the 31st of the month and we'll see if we can bring him to Barcelona."
But, he reiterated, "We have a great team, one that's very difficult to improve, and that makes signing players even more difficult."
