Ángel Ximénez PG 20-29 Barça: Still unbeaten

Another game for Barça in the Liga Asobal, and another win, this time away to Ángel Ximénez PG (20-29). That’s 11 wins in 11 games in the domestic championship, but today’s was one of the hardest so far.

It started off especially tight, but the Catalans eventually found top gear and led 9-15 at the break, with Ludovic Fabregas captaining the side for the first time and Jordi González strong in goal. The games also saw young left back Juan Palomino play his first senior game after joining from Antequera in the summer.

Barça never looked like losing, but the home side managed to keep them to under 30 goals for the first time this season. Next up on Thursday at 6.45pm CET is THW Kiel at the Sparkassen Arena in the Champions League.
