Liberbank Cantabria Sinfín 20-33 Barça: The leaders keep on winning

The blaugranes round off a tough week with an excellent victory

Another Barça win. Just two days after the excellent win over Nantes in the Champions League, the blaugranes travelled to Liberbank Cantabria Sinfín to take a convincing 33-20 win to remain leaders on the ASOBAL League.

The trip to Cantabria saw the return of Timothey N'Guessan for Barça, another piece of good news for coach Xavi Pascual, as the blaugranes dominated the early exchanges. A 9-2 lead early on became 21-11 by half time with Blaz Janc in excellent form in front of goal.

In the second half a run of four unanswered goals streched the lead to 25-11 and then Mortensen found his touch in front of goal, ending the game on five goals, joint top scorer with Janc. With the victory secure, Barça eased off in the final minutes with the final score 33-20.

Now, thoughts turn to Tuesday's game against Puerto Sagunto.
