The blaugrana machine rolls after a first game in 52 days for Xavi Pascual's team, a convincing 39-18 win away at Helvetia Anaitasuna. That victory makes it 16 now for Barça as they remain top of the table in the domestic league.
Before the game there was a tribute to European Championship winners with Spain, Pérez de Vargas, Entrerríos, Ariño and Aleix and also to Víctor Tomàs who had recent announced his retirement at the end of the season.
Barça began with keeper Kevin Moller in outstanding form and they were soon up 11-2. At half time that lead stood at 19-6 and in the second half the pace dropped slightly even though the blaugranes continued to dominate. Eight goals for Serdio meant he top scored in an eventual 39-18 win with Barça's next game coming in the VELUX Champions League against Elverum Handball Herrer.
