BM Bidasoa Irún 23 Barça 26: Solid win away from home

Xavi Pascual's team take their second win of the season in the league against top quality opposition in a tight encounter

Barça claimed a second win in the Asobal League to follow up last week's win over Anaitsauna with a 23-26 away win at BM Bidasoa Irún. The tight encounter against another team who will be in the Champions League this season was only decided in the second half.

Both sides were in excellent form in the Polideportivo Municipal Artaleku in the first half and that was reflected in the half time score as the two teams went into the break locked together at 14-14.

In the second half four unanswered goals from the blaugranes gave them the advantage at 16-19. Little by little the visitors were able to forge ahead thanks to their pace on the counter but on 51 minutes the game was still in the balance at 20-23. Nevertheless, Xavi Pascual's team were able to close out the game with their three goal advantage to take an important win in a tough away fixture.
