The FC Barcelona Lassa futsal team began the defence of their Copa del Rey title with an excellent performance against Peñíscola RehabMedic (1-5), in a game which they dominated from the beginning to the end. The result at half-time had almost ensured qualification for the quarterfinals, thanks to doubles from Dyego and Lozano, but it was the goal of Aicardo just after the break which confirmed the Blaugranes passage.
The Valencians could do nothing about the offensive potential of Andreu Plaza’s team. In fact, Dyego (min 3) and Lozano (min 5) needed only five minutes to put 0-2 on the score board.
Despite the fact that Peñíscola had stretched the play and Juanjo had to intervene twice, Barça continued to put pressure on the hosts and it was rewarded when Dyego scored from a brilliant play on the left side (min 19), and Lozano fired home again after Joselito's assist (min. 20).
Aicardo made it 0-5 past player-goalkeeper, Gava, before Hugo Bernárdez hit a late consolation.
