TTG Ugra Yugorsk 0-2 Barça Lassa: Into the Final Four!

Ferrao and Juanjo get the goals but it's defensive brilliance that really does the trick as the Russians are beaten in the deciding game of the Elite Round

Barça Lassa are through to the Final Four of the UEFA Futsal Champions League! They have done so with a 2-0 victory against Gazprom-Ugra Yugorsk of Russia in the third and final game of the Elite Round at the Palau Blaugrana.

Both teams were coming into the game on the back of victories against Rekord Bielsko-Biała of Poland and Ekonomac of Serbia, so this was a winner takes all group decider.

And it’s Barça who’ll be taking that all after a truly remarkable display, buoyed by the home support as they dealt with the constant Russian attacks but took the lead thanks to a Ferrao penalty.

The defence had to battle harder than ever in the final minutes, with the opposition piling on the pressure with their rush goalie gambit, and one for which they would pay the price when Juanjo nabbed another goal right at the end to confirm that the Catalans will be in the Final Four.

They’ll be joined there by fellow LNFS team Inter FS, Kairat of Kazakhstan and one of the Portuguese duo of Sporting or Benfica.
