Barça Lassa eventually emerged victorious against Rekord Bielsko-Biala in the Palau (3-1), but it was a tough ask for Andreu Plaza’s side. Esquerdinha, Ferrao and Adolfo scored the goals that mean the blaugranes depend only on themselves next Sunday against Ugra, in a match in which both a victory or a draw will see them into the final four.
Intense in defensive situations, the visitors weren’t easy to play against, and they proved capable on the attack too, looking dangerous each time they moved forward. The goalkeeper complemented his defenders very well and was almost impossible to beat.
Dyego, Ferrao, Joselito, Lozano and Léo Santana tried to do so, but it was Rekord that took the lead through Alex Viana, quietening down a rowdy Palau crowd (0-1, min 17).
That didn’t last long, however, as Esquerdinha hit back immediately (1-1, min 17). A similar pattern continued until Ferrao put Barça ahead (2-1, min. 28), and Dyego then hit the post. Consistent home pressure brought further reward late on with Adolfo getting his sixth in three games (3-1, min 39).
