A victory that Barça Lassa had to work hard at one of the toughest courts to visit in the league with goals from Leo Santana, Esquerdinha and Rivillos (2) giving the blaugranes the win.
The contest began with intensity the key word for both sides. Jaén put Andreu Plaza’s side under pressure as Barça tried to bring the ball out from the back. However, as time went on, the visitors assumed control and the home side did not have a shot on goal in the opening 10 minutes.
In the 19th minute Leo Santana gave the blaugranes the lead and Esquerdinha’s strike stretched the advantage at half time to 2-0.
In the second half the game continued to open up and Jaén pulled one back from the spot after Santana had been expelled for handball. Two goals from Rivillos in the final minutes put the result beyond doubt and the win leaves Andreu Plaza’s team battling for top spot in the table.
