Barça 5-2 UMA Antequera: Win at last game of regular season at Palau

The blaugranes take an authoritative win thanks to goals from Daniel (2), Ferrao, Aicardo and Adolfo

An impressive win for the blaugranes in their last game of the regular season at the Palau Blaugrana. Barça overcame UMA Antequera 5-2 and picked up all three points which are vital in their attempts to be one of the seeded teams for the play offs on the day that it was announced that coach Andreu Plaza will not continue in the job next season.

Barça went ahead early on the game when Ferrao made it 1-0 with just six minutes gone. There were no more goals in the first half thanks to the efforts of both goalkeepers, Barça shotstopper Dídac and Antequera man Cone who both made important saves to deny Óscar and Adolfo respectively.

In the second half the goals came in waves with Aicardo doubling Barça's lead on 22 minutes. Daniel came to the fore to turn the game heavily in Barça's favour with two goals in two minutes.

Nevertheless, the visitors pulled goals back through Joaki and then Velasco to give themselves hope but that was extinguished when Adolfo made it 5-2 in the last minute to secure a win that leaves Barça with a chance of being amongst the top seeds for the play offs.
