Barça's match against Jaén didn't start well with the hosts going ahead as early as the third minute. Two more chances arrived before the Catalans managed to get a foothold in the game and stem the flow of consistent attacks.
Roger equalised in the sixth minute, thanks to some quick thinking when Lozano lost the ball, before the latter put the visitors into the lead (1-2, min 8). Joselito hit the post for Barça whilst the Blaugranes keeper, Juanjo, was called into action to repel a shot from Mauricio.
Piqueras finally grabbed the equaliser (2-2, min 13), but then Jaén became sloppy in their play allowing Roger to put Barça ahead again (2-3, min 16). Dyego then made it 2-4 before Dani Martín brought the hosts back into it.
The game remained in the balance until the very end, and Barça were indebted to Juanjo whose triple save stopped Jaén from drawing level once more. With just under three minutes remaining, the locals played with the goalkeeper-player, but Andreu Plaza's side took full advantage. Two late goals from Boyis and Adolfo sealed the win (3-6).
