Palma Futsal 3-1 Barça Lassa: Palau to decide on Monday

Mallorcans take their chances and the league semi-final playoff will go down to a decisive game three

Barça Lassa fell to Palma Futsal in game two of the best-of-three league semi-final series, meaning it all comes down to the rubber game at the Palau Blaugrana on Monday at 9.00pm CET. The home side took their chances when they had to, while the Catalans hit the dual barrier of an impressive Barrón in the home goal, and the woodwork.

An electrifying game had seen chances at both ends before Nunes finally got the islanders off the mark, pouncing on a lost Barça ball. Unusually, however, after the deadlock had been broken the rest of the half was considerably less lively affair.

Palma extended their lead just two minutes into the restart through Paradynski, and although the blaugrana powered everything they could into game, an Eloy Rojas goal on the counter as good as settled affairs by making it 3-0.

Barça had to go for the rush goalie option, but although Marcenio did pull one back, it just wasn’t going to happen. All they can do now is curse their misfortune for hitting the post three times and wait for Monday to secure, fingers crossed, a place in the final.
