FC Barcelona Women 6-0 Sevilla FC: Ending 2020 in style
Lluis Cortes¡ team take another win in the Liga Iberdrola and end the calendar year undefeated at home
The victories keep coming. That has been the story for the women's team at the Estadi Johan Cruyff in 2020 as Lluis Cortés' team rounded off the year with a 6-0 win over Sevilla. Aitana with two, Alexia, Jennifer Hermoso, Graham Hansen and Oshoala were all on the scoresheet to earn the side three more valuable points.
A cross from Graham Hansen allowed Alexia Putelles to put the blaugranes ahead early on in the contest and set the tone for the rest of the encounter. A penalty from Hermoso and a header from Graham Hansen stretched the lead to 3-0 come half time.
In the second half goalkeeper Sandra Paños, in for the injured Cata Coll, was a virtual spectator and with Sevilla reduced to 10 players after the sending off of Teresa, the result was never in doubt.
Oshoala scored the fourth, goal number 100 for the women's team in the Estadi Johan Cruyff. Then a brace from Aitana rounded off an excellent win for the blaugranes. Lluis Cortés' team end the year with an away trip to Deportivo on Tuesday, kick off 2.00pm CET.
