Barça Women go through to Copa final

FC Barcelona's women's first team beat Sevilla 6-0 to reach the Copa de la Reina final

Barça Women put on a great display against Sevilla to beat the Andalusian side 6-0 at the Estadio Johan Cruyff, going through to the final of the Copa de la Reina. The team had led 4-0 at halftime, and extended their advantage in the second period.

A frenetic start

Barça Women took just 4 minutes to go ahead, courtesy of a goal by Oshoala after Patri had won the ball back. Caroline Graham Hansen doubled the advantage with her side's second shot.

The woodwork was tested on two occasions, but Patri was able to extend the lead to 3-0 as she turned in a María León corner on 21 minutes. Just before half time, Oshoala made it 4-0.

Under control

Upon the restart, Barça hit the post for a third time, through substitute Vicky Losada. They were dominating play and looking to kill the contest off completely.

Goal number five came from Melanie Serrano, directly from a corner, in the 68th minute. That was five minutes before Aitana closed the scoring with Barça Women's sixth of the night, on 73 minutes.

Barça Women progress to the final of the 2019/20 Copa de la Reina, where they will play EDF Logroño.
