Stat-tastic!: 29 wins and two draws

Champions of the Spanish Super Cup and of Catalonia, runaway leaders in La Liga, nine points ahead of the team in second place, through to the Champions League quarter finals and the semis of the Copa de la Reina … until competition was halted due to coronavirus, the women’s team were in exceptional form in every competition. Here are some of the standout facts:

▶ Of 31 competitive fixtures, the side coached by Luis Cortés has won 29 games, drawn two and lost none.

▶ 25 of those 29 wins have been by two goals or more.

▶ Barça have scored 125 goals and conceded just 12.

▶ That’s an average of 4 goals a game and just 0.38 against.

▶ The biggest wins have been the 10-1 rout of Real Sociedad in the Super Cup Final, and a 9-1 defeat of Tacón in the first league match at the new Estadi Johan Cruyff.

▶ Barça have won every one of the 14 games played in their home stadium this season.

▶ Every one of those games has attracted over a thousand fans to the ground.

▶ Barça have scored 4.5 goals a game at home. Overall they have scored 63 at home, 40 away and 22 on neutral territory.

▶ The only points dropped were away to Rayo Vallecano in the second game of the league season (1-1) and a draw with Atlético de Madrid (0-0).

▶ That away league fixture with Atlético is the only one in which the team has failed to score.
