Barça Women 1-0 Deportivo Abanca: Into the semifinals!

After endless chances, Barça Women, in the last seconds of extra time, scored the goal that qualified them for the semifinals of the Copa de la Reina. The winning goal was only a matter of time, with the hosts on the front foot throughout and Deportivo Abanca only interested in defending for their lives. However, it would take until the 120th minute before substitute Hamraoui found the net.

The visitors were under siege from beginning to end, Barça's high pressure and control of the ball ensuring that they rarely had the chance to attack. Indeed, a counterattack and two corners were the sum total of their forays into Barça territory.

Graham, Oshoala and Jenni Hermoso all went close, but couldn't break the deadlock. Esther Sullastres, in the Depor goal, repelled anything coming her way and was a colossus for the visiting team, however, she was unable to keep out Hamraoui's shot in the very last play of extra-time.
