Barça Women 3-0 Sevilla: Victory ahead of the Super Cup

Three second half goals bring another three points for the rampant league leaders

Barça collected a great win against an in-form Sevilla team that recently drew with Atlético Madrid. Following a tight first half that ended without score, the three goals in the second half have put the team, on a day that Bruna Vilamala made her debut, in a fine mood ahead of the Super Cup.

There was plenty of applause in the Estadi Johan Cruyff for some fine football, with Crnogorčević impressing on her first start and goalkeeper Cata Coll, on loan to Sevilla from Barça, was one of the main reasons why the deadlock took so long to break.

The opener finally came from the penalty spot, with Alexia Putellas doing the honours. More top keeping from Coll prevented any further score until Oshoala headed in a fine cross from Martens.

Vicky Losada, fresh back from injury, came on for the last 25, in which Patri Guijarro added the third and final goal by turning a corner goalward.

The down side was Melanie getting injuted towards the end, replaced by Carla Armengol, who thus got her first Liga experience with the first team.

Next up is Atlético Madrid in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup, to be played in Salamanca on Thursday at 8.00pm CET.
