With various clusters of FC Barcelona’s stars still spread throughout the footballing universe— only Ivan Rakitic and Javier Mascherano have reentered Barça’s orbit — the team forged ahead towards its goal of reaching optimal physical preparedness ahead of this weekend’s tête-à-tête with Granada CF.
Kickoff at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes is set for Sunday night at 8.45pm CET.
Tuesday’s training session was the team’s second of the young week, and it took place on Field Two at Barça’s training center in Sant Joan Despí.
In addition to Rakitic and Mascherano, Barça’s other available first team players were joined by a youthful blend of Barça B players — Wilfrid Kaptoum, Marlon Santos, Álex Carbonell, Marc Cardona and Gerard Gumbau — and Sergi Puig of the U19 team.
