FC Barcelona are set to tour the United States of America once again this summer as they take part in the International Champions Cup for the third successive year. The last time Barça spent pre-season on US soil was back in 2015, ahead of Luis Enrique’s second season as coach. This will be the first tour with Ernesto Valverde as Barça coach and on Tuesday the new boss announced the squad of players that will travel to the USA for the preseason games against Juventus, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Two years ago the blaugranes spent 10 days in the USA, playing LA Galaxy in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Manchester United in the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara and Chelsea in the FedEX Field in Washington D.C., all as part of the ICC tournament before rounding off their participation with a game in Florence, Italy against Fiorentina.
