The nominees for LaLiga's September awards have been announced, with Barça strongly represented by no fewer than four nominees: Raphinha, Pau Cubarsí, João Cancelo and coach Hansi Flick. Voting is now open on the LaLiga website.

Raphinha, possible MVP

As expected, Raphinha is in contention for the award for LaLiga's best player in September. The Brazilian forward has scored seven league goals this month, a remarkable tally that includes back-to-back hat-tricks against Racing Santander and Sevilla. In fact, he is the reigning winner of the award and could well retain it.

Cubarsí, U23

Pau Cubarsí has been nominated for the best U23 player award. The 19-year-old centre-back is in excellent form and has played a major part in Barça remaining unbeaten at the start of the 2026/27 season. Of the four LaLiga games Barça have played in September, he has started three, playing a total of 242 minutes.

Cancelo, best goal

Next up is João Cancelo, who is in contention for the best goal award for his strike against Racing Santander at Spotify Camp Nou. In the eighth minute, the Portuguese full-back unleashed a thunderous effort from outside the area that flew into the top corner of Julen Agirrezabala's goal. A genuine work of art that could now be named September's best goal.

Flick, top coach

Last but not least, Hansi Flick has been nominated for coach of the month. And it is easy to see why, with his side top of the table with a perfect record of seven wins from seven. The blaugranes have been producing some wonderful football, combining formidable attacking firepower with a bold and entertaining style.

Voting is now open for via the official LaLiga website.
