FC Barcelona and Venezia FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of Toni Fernández. Barça retain a buy-back option as well as a percentage of any future sale.

FC Barcelona wishes Toni Fernández all the best in this new stage of his career and thanks him for his dedication during his eight years at the Club.

Eight years as a culer 

The 18 year old Catalan footballer brings to an end a spell of eight years at FC Barcelona, having arrived at La Masia in the summer of 2018 from city rivals Espanyol. 

Two games with the first team 

Fernández quickly showed his talent and spark, moving through the age categories in the youth system before making his debut for the first team on 4 January 2025 in a Copa del Rey game against Barbastro. At the age of 16 years, five matches and 17 days, he became the second youngest player ever to represent Barça this century behind none other than Lamine Yamal. 

In 2025/26 he made one more appearance for Barça in a game against Girona at the Estadi Olímpic, with Hansi Flick naming him in the starting XI. So after two firs team appearances, Toni Fernández is leaving Barça after eight years.
