Dutch star to sign contract before appearing on the Camp Nou pitch and giving press conference. Event starts at 7.00pm CEST and open to members and fans and to be streamed live on Barça Video

Frenkie de Jong will be stepping on the Camp Nou turf for the first time this Friday 5 July for the first time as he is unveiled as an FC Barcelona player. The event is going to be open to the public and is scheduled to begin at around 7.00pm local time and will be shown live on Barça TV, and we’ll also be streaming it here on Barça Video, with commentary in English and Spanish, starting at 6.15pm CET.

Members and fans that want to come along and welcome the Dutch midfielder can come along and collect a maximum of six free tickets per person from tomorrow Wednesday at accesses 9 and 15 to the Camp Nou from 10.00am to 7.00pm.

On the actual day, the Camp Nou will be opening its doors at 5.30pm. For security reasons, only one zone of the Grandstand and North Goals sections will be open – so there are limited places.

Before appearing on the pitch to salute the fans, De Jong will have signed the contract binding him to the club until the 2023/24 season at a private signing ceremony in the President Suñol Box in the company of FC Barcelona president ​​Josep Maria Bartomeu.

After receiving a hearty welcome from the fans, the 22-year-old product of the Ajax academy will be giving a press conference in the Auditori 1899, together with the aforesaid Jordi Mestre and the first team technical secretary, Éric Abidal.

9.00pm: Photo session at the Barça Store Camp Nou.

Friday 5 July

6.15pm: Contract signing in President Suñol box, private event.

7.00pm: Photo session on the Camp Nou pitch, open to the public (limited capacity). Stadium gates open at 5.30pm.

7.45pm: Official presentation in Auditori 1899 with Barça president Josep Maria Bartomeu

Followed by: Press conference with first team technical secretary, Éric Abidal.
