A double for Coutinho in Copa América opener

A double for Coutinho in Copa América opener

The Blaugrana midfielder led Brazil to a 3-0 win over Bolivia, scoring two goals in two second-half minutes

Philippe Coutinho helped Brazil to open the Copa América with a win, scoring two goals in the hosts' 3-0 victory over Bolivia (3-0). The Brazilian team, despite showing their superiority in the Moramuño stadium in Sao Paulo, had to wait until the second half for the goals to arrive, having been held for the opening 45 minutes.

After a first half of many chances but no goals, Brazil - wearing white in homage to the team of one hundred years ago - went ahead on 50 minutes thanks to a VAR awarded penalty which Coutinho coolly dispatched. He was on the mark again just two minutes later, getting on the end of Roberto Firmino's cross.

The Bolivians noticeably tired with Tite's players then dominating every facet of the game until they rounded the win with a great goal by Gremio's Everton.
