Lorca FC 1-1 Barça B: Away form continues

Gerard López's side collect a point at the Artés Carrasco after going down to a first half penalty, stretching the unbeaten run on the road to six games

Barça B’s excellent away form continues as they collected points for the sixth time in a row. Saturday brought a draw at relegation threatened Lorca after going a goal down from the penalty spot, with Marc Cucurella grabbing the all-important equaliser.

The home side are in urgent need of points, and the early pressing came from them and they were rewarded with a penalty following a handball from Martínez on the half hour. Dani Ojeda converted in a largely uneventful opening 45 minutes, although Abel Ruiz came close to drawing level with a beautifully swerved strike.

Barça B’s best football came after the break, in which they did more than enough to deserve even more than a point. Carles Pérez, Vitinho and Marqués all made an impact when they came on as subs, the latter making his official debut along with game-starter Collado, and the 1-1 came a quarter of an hour from the end when Nahuel set up Cucurella for an angled finish.

The remaining 15 minutes produced chances at both ends, but great goalkeeping prevented any further score.
