Barça had all of the chances in a match where the team from Alicante defended for their lives throughout
Barça B, despite having control of the match and the majority of the chances, couldn't find the win against a visitor that defended for their lives throughout.
Collado, Rey Manaj and Araujo all went close in the opening exchanges, and it appeared that it would only be a matter of time before the hosts would open the scoring. A mixture of great keeping by Falcón and a lack of luck in front of goal ensured the game remained goalless at the break.
Into the second half, the script didn't change. Saverio and Araujo had chances of their own as Barça B's superiority continued. Still the hosts persisted, but their frustration was palpable as the clock wound down. Two headers in the latter stages from Rey Manaj and Araujo came to nothing, with the point leaving García Pimienta's side in second place.
