Barça to take part in the 16th edition of the Nit dels Museus

Club Museum to open free of charge from 7pm CEST Saturday, May 14 to 1am CEST Sunday, May 15, as part of the initiative encompassing 75 cultural spaces in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area

The Nit dels Museus (Night of the Museums) is one of the most eagerly awaited cultural nights of the year. This year is the sixteenth edition and it returns in all its splendour after the pandemic-induced restrictions. Thousands of people are expected to enjoy the most emblematic cultural spaces during the evening/night of May 14/15. Promoted by the Barcelona City Council and Barcelona Cultura, FC Barcelona are taking part in the initiative again this year, which offers the chance to visit a wide range of cultural installations in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area free of charge during a 6 hour period.

The Club will open the doors to its Museum free of charge at 7pm CEST Saturday, May 14, through to 1am CEST Sunday, May 15. The visit includes access to both floors of the Museum, as well as a panoramic view of the stadium from the second level of the main stand. The visit encompasses the best aspects of the Club's history, with a look through the most heroic sporting achievements, the trophy area, and legendary players, now including the new Espai Alexia, with the Ballon d'Or won by the Barça  Women's team captain on display. The visit ends with an unbeatable moment - a serene Camp Nou at night - an unmissable and unusual atmosphere.

The Nit dels Museus initiative sees the participation of 75 cultural spaces in Barcelona, Badalona, Cornellà, Esplugues, L'Hospitalet, Sant Adrià, Sant Joan Despí, and Santa Coloma, along with thousands of museums across Europe. This year sees nine new spaces to visit, with up to 120 temporary exhibitions and permanent collections, and over 60 scheduled activities and visits are available to the public.

Last year's edition saw a total of 34,000 visitors, well below the figures of previous editions due to the pandemic-induced restrictions. Although capacity restrictions are still in place, it is hoped that the initiative will rebound to figures similar to previous years, when it was a tremendous success.

Further information about La Nit dels Museus is available through www.lanitdelsmuseus.cat (only in Catalan).

Everyone visiting the Club's installations will be able to make use of the Club's commercial and food services. As such the Barça Store Camp Nou will be open for longer through to 12am on Sunday, with a gift for everyone who spends over 30 euro in the store.

Furthermore, the some of the most notable food establishments, such as the Barça Cafe and the Barça Bus, will have extended opening hours until 11pm CEST.
