‘Emotions bring us together’

As long as we continue to share the same passion, we will always be close to each other. That is the thought that FC Barcelona is sharing at such a special time of year, and at the end of a year that has been so affected by the spread of coronavirus and that has forced us to change our habits and way of dealing with so many situations. 

There is no question that 2020 has been a troubled year. The virus has compelled us to stay at home, and to keep our distance from our loved ones. And as Culers, it has also meant we have been unable to go to the Camp Nou and meet up at such a unique venue. 

But although we are living in such strange times, Barça wants to send season’s greetings to all the blaugrana family and remind everyone that despite the distance, nothing can truly keep us apart.

The club has reflected those sentiments in a film that sends festive wishes to the fans, but also shows how Barça is something that brings people together: the members of the same family, different generations or groups of friends, and it can even spark new relationships. The campaign is complemented by messages from the club’s players, including Ignacio Alabart, Pierre Oriola, Aitana Bonmatí, and Ferrao, who in keeping with tradition are sharing their own feelings with their loved ones. 

And it is precisely that passion, those emotions and that union that make us ‘More than a Club’, which is also reflected in the club’s commitment to society and its intention to carry on making the world a better place through sport and values.
