‘La ruta de Barcelona’, a new proposal to enjoy culture and leisure as a family

Four major facilities in the city - the Barça Museum, La Pedrera-Casa Milà, the Barcelona Aquarium and the Sant Pau Modernist Precinct - are promoting the initiative, aimed at local families and with discounts on tickets up to 60 %

Four major tourist attractions in the city of Barcelona - the Barça Museum, La Pedrera-Casa Milà, the Barcelona Acquarium and the Recinto Modernista de Sant Pau - launch the La ruta de Barcelona passport, a cultural and leisure proposal designed especially for families in Barcelona and the metropolitan area.

It's an innovative initiative, arising from a collaboration between the four facilities, which aims to encourage families to enjoy the leisure and culture closest to them. The intention is to continue revitalising the cultural and leisure fabric, still affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, by making attractive proposals for families to choose outreach activities.

For this reason, a gift per family will be given in each of the facilities: during the visit to the Barça Museum, visitors will receive the museum's guidebook or a children's story; in the case of La Pedrera, this gift will be a photographic guide to the building; in the Aquarium, a memory of the 25th anniversary of the facility; and an activity kit for children at the Recinto Modernista de Sant Pau.

In addition, visitors will be able to benefit from the best prices, as during this period all facilities offer promotions and discounts (rates can be found on each of the websites of the four facilities).

In the case of the Barça Museum, residents in Catalonia currently have a ticket with a discount of around 60%, at a price of 10 euros. But for non-residents there are also tariff reductions. For those over 70 years old and for children between 4 and 10 years old, the ticket costs 20 euros. For children under 4 and for all members, admission is free. For the rest of the public, the ticket costs 26 euros.

An exclusive experience, and a prize for visitors who complete the passport

Visitors who complete the entire route through the four facilities will be able to enjoy a very special prize, without a draw: an exclusive experience for four people at one of the facilities participating in the initiative:

  • In the case of the Barça Museum, you can enjoy an extra guided tour + 2 tickets to the Ice Rink, per person.
  • In La Pedrera - Casa Milà there will be a guided night visit, La Pedrera Night Experience, with videomapping in the Terrat dels Guerrers and a glass of cava.
  • The Barcelona Aquarium will offer a Premium Pass, which allows access to the aquarium’s technical area and a guided tour led by an expert guide.
  • And in the case of the Recinto Modernista de Sant Pau, you can enjoy an unprecedented night visit and the new Christmas show.

The dynamics of the route are as follows: passports can be obtained at the entrance of the first facility to be visited, whether the ticket is purchased at that time at the box office or if it has been purchased in advance online. A passport will be given to each family that will be stamped on each of the visits. The deadline for families to have visited each facility is December 15, 2020.

A pioneering initiative to promote culture and leisure

Once the route has been completed, ie when all four visits have been made, all you have to do is choose the exclusive experience you want and contact the appropriate team to enjoy the prize.

The passport for 'La ruta de Barcelona' is a joint and pioneering initiative that allows you to visit four emblematic spaces in the city. The aim is to make the Barcelona and Catalan public aware of facilities that, despite being very close, are often unknown.
