Huge reception at the Penya Barça Japan

More than 200 supporters attended the meeting held in Tokyo with President Bartomeu and a large representation of the Board of Directors

The city of Tokyo has experienced both sides of FC Barcelona this Monday afternoon. The Tokyo Hyatt Regency has brought together more than 200 club members belonging to the Penya Barça Japan, who were able to enjoy an encounter that was also attended by some of the players.

The Barça expedition, headed by president Josep Maria Bartomeu and executives Jordi Cardoner, Jordi Moix, Pau Vilanova and Emili Rousaud, the Culture Delegate of the Teresa Basilio Board, CEO Òscar Grau and the Director of the Presidency Area Jaume Masferrer, were accompanied by the Councillor for Business and Knowledge of the Government of the Generalitat, Ms. Àngels Chacón, and by the Commissioner for Economic Promotion, Business and Innovation of the Barcelona City Council Lluís Gómez. Former player and Ambassador Juliano Belletti also attended.

After the initial speeches, president Bartomeu and the president of Penya Barça Japan, Hiroki Nakano, exchanged gifts. From the Blaugrana, a first team shirt was presented, while Hiroki Nakano gave the club a typical Japanese light.

The ceremony of sake was followed, in which president Bartomeu, the executives Cardoner and Vilanova, the president of the Penya Barça Japan, Nakano, the Chacón Generalitat's Councillor and the representative of the Gómez City Council broke a barrel of sake before starting dinner.

The rugby team also attended the event and were received with a great ovation from the attendees.
